R/C Plus Hobbies was started by a group of enthusiasts in the late 80's. Eventually it was owned outright by Ron Smith.  Ron kept R/C Plus Hobbies an amazing place to visit, race, and have a good time. Ron retired in 2020 and the business was purchased by Erik and Jessica Hanson.

Since then the shop has expanded upon Ron's legacy by adding more product lines and a small crawler course. We have tried to maintain the vintage garage feel of the store as it has become iconic!

We care about our customers at R/C Plus Hobbies. Our goal is to get you into a hobby grade vehicle that fits your needs.  All of our staff is salary, and we do not pursue commission based sales tactics, or just try to sell you the most expensive stuff in the store. We want to know what your needs are, and cater your buying experience with that in mind.

We have a small staff of friends and family here at the store. We keep our prices as close to online pricing as we can. We offer price matching with Horizon Hobby, Traxxas, and other reputable websites.  We love to special order products for our customers as we cant keep everything on hand. If you need something and don't see it in house, please ask us if we can order it for you!!
